Balsam Poplar Cotton - for Hermit Crabs

This is a Large bag of cotton. Balsam Poplar is a safe tree, and in the summer, they produce an obnoxious amount of these sticky seed pods. The wind will blow the cotton around and it will look like snow in July. These are collected directly from the tree, never off the ground. 

They have been fully dehydrated at a high temperature. They are now fluffy and no longer sticky. There is a stem in the cotton and a bunch of seeds. 

I like to place this in a forage dish or moss put. Sometimes I put them in hides and the crabs seem to like to snuggle and munch. 

Please note that all items are preservative-free and may naturally break down over time, which is normal.
