Haunted ?

I’ve experienced a lot of things that I cannot explain within normal societal expectations.

Some of those experiences I am an open book about.

Some of them I will never repeat.

Because I believe energy flows where it is directed.

The energy we create does not simply disappear when a moment is over. Emotion, attention, fear, love, grief, obsession, routine; all of those things leave something behind. Sometimes briefly. Sometimes for years.

Even when someone leaves this world, I believe some of their energy remains too.

Sometimes its their love, or their anger.

Sometimes it feels like a person has intentionally or unintentionally anchored part of themselves here.

And sometimes, what I encounter does not feel human at all.

One of the biggest reasons I believe I am a medium is because I experience psychometry.

When I touch certain objects, I can feel what resides in them.

It does not always come through in the same way. Sometimes it is an emotion that does not feel like mine. Sometimes it is an image, a personality, a physical sensation, a sudden knowing, or a feeling about who or what the object was.

And not every object that carries something is what I would call haunted.

Sometimes an object feels like it simply absorbed the life that happened around it.

In my experience, mirrors soak up the world around them, like a sponge. Jewelry can feel saturated with the person who wore it every day. A piece of furniture can hold the emotional atmosphere of a home long after everyone who lived there is gone.

That is what I think of as a residual imprint.

Other times, the energy feels less like an echo and more like a presence.

Something aware.

Something attached.

Something that notices me noticing it.

I most often find that these presences seem to anchor themselves to something physical.

An object.

A home.

A specific room.

A piece of land.

I also do not believe every presence is a dead human being.

Some may be nonhuman entities.

Some may be thoughtforms; presences created or strengthened through attention, emotion, belief, and repetition.

An intensely loved childhood teddy bear, for example, may carry far more than sentimental value.

A child may name it, speak to it, assign it a personality, sleep beside it every night, believe it protects them, tell it secrets, and pour years of emotion into it.

What does that create?

I do not pretend to know every answer.

That is actually one of the most important parts of how I approach these experiences.

I would rather describe something honestly than force it into a category.

If something feels intelligent, I will say that.

If it feels human, I will say that.

If it feels residual, I will say that.

If it feels completely unlike anything I have encountered before, I am comfortable saying, “I don’t know what this is.”

Being a medium, to me, does not mean having an encyclopedia of the unseen world downloaded into my brain.

It means perceiving something that most people either do not perceive or have learned to ignore.

It means noticing the difference between an empty object and one that feels full.

I do not expect everyone to believe me.

I am not really interested in convincing anyone.

I am using my skills to protect people, help lost objects find their forever homes, and learn. I am interested in understanding what I experience, documenting it, and seeing how far it goes.

Hope you enjoy the ride!
