Sables are semi aquatic, with thick fur and a musky odor.  Due to their complex needs and potential aggression, they are not recommended as pets. 

They require a large enclosure with pool thats temperature controlled. They need a heavy meat, fish, and insect diet.

Sable ownership is illegal in many areas due to concerns about proper care and potential escape.
