This service is ideal for sentimental plushies and childhood companions whose value isn’t measured in appearance, but in years of comfort and memory
Restoration is done with care to preserve character, not erase it.
The deposit reserves your place and allows us to review your stuffy, talk through its condition, and discuss what kind of restoration would be best. Once we’ve gone over photos and details together, you’ll receive a quote of the cost.
Please note your email in your order, so that I can contact you. I will ask you to send photos and a brief description of your stuffed animal. From there, we’ll discuss repair needs such as cleaning, seam repair, restuffing, patching, or structural reinforcement. No work begins without your approval.
• This is not the final price of restoration
• Final pricing depends on size, condition, complexity, and material sourcing.
This listing is fully refunded if you choose not to move forward after the initial consultation.
Shipping of any stuffed animal starts at $12 each way, for a minimum possible shipping total of $24.
I will send you a prepaid label that you can print and tape to your box, and drop off at a post office. The label will be insured appropriately, but we understand some items are priceless, and the loss of them through shipping would be devastating.
I am happy to say that we have never had any toy get lost in transit, and not make its way back home. We are fully confident your friend will be safe.
Full Restoration Process
Every stuffy is different. The processes can be drastically different, and we will discuss them with you.
We typically unstich and remove all stuffing to thoroughly clean the stuffy. The stuffing can be cleaned separately if we want to reuse it.
This process can be different for vintage or handmade plushies with alternative stuffing.
My go to cleaner for stuffed animals is powdered oxyclean. This does have a mild lingering scent. If there is a concern, such as allergies, sensory or otherwise, we can work with you.
If youd like a specific scent, I am able to do that too. Our most common request is lavender.
We like to soak sherpa stuffies in fabric softener. You can imagine why.
I hand wash every stuffy, never machine wash. Depending on the stuffy, we have different cleaning processes.
They are thoughly dried, typically with warm air. Never in the dryer.
The stuffy is fully restuffed, either with a new comparable material, one of your choice, or the original stuffing that has been steamed and dried.
I stich them back up, if they were intact. If they were needing patchwork, this is the step that I may remove seams, and handstitch or machine sew in new fabric.
If the stuffy has Sherpa fur, I use a slicker pet brush to return the soft silkyness.
I do any last minute details or cleanings of the stuffy. And carefully box them up to go home!
